Below are some of the questions we are frequently asked regarding our extended motorcoach tours..  Please contact us if you have any other questions, and we'll be happy to help you.

  • How much is the deposit and when is it due?
    The deposits vary from $100 to $500 on our motorcoach tours. The amount is noted on the bottom of individual tour brochures. Deposits are due upon sign-up. Payments by cash or check only. Credit cards are not accepted at this time.
  • When is my final payment due?  (And, can I sign-up after the final payment due date?)"
    The final payment due date is generally 5 weeks prior to departure date. Dates are noted on the individual tour brochure. Some of the tours that include air, may have an earlier payment due date. YES! You are more than welcome to sign-up after the final payment due date listed on the brochure (as long as there is still room on the tour).
  • What does my tour include?
    See the "Price Includes" section on the individual tour brochures for specifics on that tour. Each tour includes: Motorcoach Transportation, Utopia Tours Tour Director, Lodging each night of the tour, Baggage Handling (1 suitcase per person), Admission to Attractions as noted in tour brochure, Meals as noted in tour brochure, Tips for Step-On-Guides and Meals we've included. Not included in tour price are the meals that are on your own, tips for meals and services not included in tour price, gratuities for the Tour Driver and Tour Director.
  • Do you accept credit cards?
    Currently we are only accepting cash or check as payments for tours. Credit cards are not accepted this time.
  • Can I use my credit card while traveling in Canada?
    You can use your credit card during your travel throughout the U.S. and in Canada. You may want to notify your credit card company of your travel plans, so that they are aware. For those that wish to exchange some money into Canadian, we will be stopping across the border to to do this. There could be a small fee for doing this exchange.
  • What are your Pick-up and Drop-off Locations?
    Most of our tours have pick-up locations in Fargo, Fergus Falls/Wal-Mart, Alexandria/Perkins, St Cloud/Country Inn & Suites. Plus other locations along tour route. Metro area pick-ups are available on tours that route through there. Contact us to see what other locations are available on the tour you're interested in. Pick-up locations follow the route of the tour to maintain a flowing schedule. You can leave your car at the pick-up locations in Fargo, Fergus, Alexandria & St Cloud.
  • What about Luggage and Carry-ons?
    Baggage handling is included for one suitcase per person. This will be unloaded by the driver and brought up to your hotel room each night, and brought down to the bus and loaded by the driver each morning. We ask that it weigh less than 50 lbs. You may also bring a carry-on to be handled by yourself. This should be a small, soft-sided bag that will fit easily below your seat, or in the overhead luggage racks. Carry-ons can also go below the bus with the other luggage.
  • When will I receive my Final Information?
    Your Final Letter will be mailed approx 10 days to 2 weeks prior to tour departure. This letter will include the a letter regarding your payments and other general info, tour brochure, Hotel List with amenities noted per hotel, a Medical Info Form that is to be turned in when you board the bus, Luggage Tags, and other items that may relate to your tour.
  • What if I'm a Single Passenger?
    Single passengers are more than welcome on our tours! Please note you may have to share a seat with someone during the tour. If you are looking for a roommate, and we have others looking for a roommate, we will put you in contact with eachother to see if the two of you would like to room together.
  • Will there be Wi-Fi on the bus and in our hotels?
    WHILE TRAVELING IN THE U.S.: While traveling in the U.S. there will be Wi-Fi on the bus (some areas may have limited WiFi due to location we're traveling through). WHILE TRAVELING IN CANADA: Most often there is no Wi-Fi on the buses while driving through Canada. If your tour is traveling through Canada, you may want to check with your cell phone provider to check on the details/charges while traveling outside the U.S. OTHER INFO: Some buses have jacks in them for charging your phone/device. Most hotels now offer Wi-Fi. This will be noted in the Amenities section on your Hotel List you receive in your Final Letter, so you know when it is available.
  • What is Utopia Tours Cancellation Policy?
    If you cancel prior to the final payment due date listed on the individual tour brochure you will receive a 100% refund. Refunds below granted for cancellations due to medical reasons only (need note from dr.) If you cancel after the final payment due date, and up to 7 business days prior to departure, you will receive a 75% refund, less any non-recoverable fees (ex: non-refundable tickets) If you cancel after 7 business days prior to departure, it is non-refundable. If we cancel a tour, your payments will be refunded. Payments are non-refundable for non-medical related cancellations after final payment due date. *We offer Travel Guard Insurance for trip cancellation and interruption. See Travel Insurance section for more info.
  • Do you offer Travel Insurance?
    Utopia Tours has our own cancellation policy, as noted above. Plus we offer Travel Insurance for those of you that are interested. Travel Insurance with Travel Guard, covers you should you have to cancel prior to departure, or if you cancel during the tour-the unused portion of the trip (for covered reasons/per policy). Please read over the Travel Guard policy information for more details. You can choose from the Deluxe, Preferred, or Essential plans. If you have any pre-existing conditions, please read policies for more details. All three plans have a Pre-Existing Condition Waiver if you purchase your insurance within 15 days of your initial (first) payment. Travel Guard/AIG can be contacted at 1-800-826-1300. Our Agency Code is: 009478. The premium is based on the tour price and your age at the time of purchase. Enroll using the link through the Travel Guard page on our website. Payment is made directly to Travel Guard.
